A new Hungarian tavern on the North Side is holding a traditional outdoor bacon roast April 30 and serving the slabs of bacon with sourdough bread and peppers, green onions and tomatoes, along with a shot of palinka, or fruit brandy, two beers and live music for $35. As someone noted on its Facebook page, “You had me at bacon.”
